Carlos M. Duarte founded Best Building Maintenance, Inc. in the summer of 2002, though his experience in the janitorial industry began 30 years prior starting at Fearwood Convalescent in Altadena, Ca. After only six months of janitorial experience, Carlos was promoted to housekeeping supervisor. He served as supervisor at Fearwood until the spring of 1980 when he decided to relocate with his family to Northridge, Ca. Once again he entered the janitorial industry as a dependable housekeeper at the Northridge Medical Center. Within three years of employment at Northridge, he was able to complete a Surgical Technician's Degree, which led to Mr Duarte serving as a surgical tech in the surgery department for two years. In the summer of 1985, Mr. Duarte relocated to Encino Medical Center located in Encino, Ca. There Mr Duarte served as  Supervisor in charge of  staff and cleaning maintenance for several hospitals. Since then, Mr Duarte has served as the Assistant Director of Environmental Services and Project Supervisor in other Medical Centers. Mr. Duarte's experience is derived from his 30+ years of janitorial technical and administrative functions.
